What is with blogger. So many times the images fail to show up.

I will cook if I have to, but for the most part, I would rather clean my kitchen and keep it that way. But I have a really odd compulsion (one of many odd compulsions) to buy cookbooks. My sister can attest to the fact that I have hundreds of cookbooks.

One of my favorite activities is going to thrift stores to find treasures in the cookbook section.

I’ve never figured out why I have this obsession with cookbooks. It simply could be that I have always desired to cook great exotic meals, served on beautiful serving pieces, with a table set to make my family or guests feel special.

But, I’ve never achieved this. I usually throw paper plates on the table and line up what I’ve cooked on the counter and yell to whoever is listening “come and get it”.

You can imagine how thrilled I was when I found this blog yesterday.

I know some day I’ll become obsessed with cooking, just like I have with so many other hobbies.

Yesterday it was rainy and cold so I spent a lot of time on the lap top. I came across this blog http://dancesingarden.blogspot.com/ and read her latest post. There is something about her writing that pulled me in so I read more and realized, this is a blog I will go back through the archives to the first post and catch up to current times, as time permits.

She has this great sense of humor revealed through her writing. I have enjoyed what I’ve read so far.
