Twelve-year-old author Nancy Yi Fan has woven a captivating tale about the birds of Stone-Run Forest and the heroism, courage, and resourcefulness in their quest for peace.
I’ve been meaning to post this since I saw this young girl on one of the morning shows. I believe she was 11 or 12 when she wrote this book recently. Because of my love of birds I was drawn to this story.
There are so many amazing kids on the planet right now. Is this becoming more prevalent, these young amazing talents, or has there always been so many creative and talented kids but now due to the internet we have access to their stories.
I’m anxious to see what talents my own grandkids grow into. It won’t matter if its’ simply that they can spit the farthest or climb the highest tree. It will be their own special talent and that’s good enough for me.

I’m with you about it not mattering if their special talent is spitting the farthest, climbing the highest tree or even setting the record for going without sleep the longest!
