Sickness came upon like a flash

I think it was passed from Cayden to me. I guess flu’s hit adults a lot harder than babies. I felt really achy and feverish all day and have spent the day in my room. I finally got so bored I figured I would finally re-work his eyes and a few other things (width of his face) that I knew was way off. Everytime I would look at the one I did before it just didn’t sit right with me.

HEY YOU BUGS DOWN THERE AT GRAMMA’S

Hey boys!!! I’m coming down to Gramma and Papa’s house in May. I sure hope I get to play with you cute little bugs. Are you going to be around then?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. You DO remember, don’t you…that there will be another little bug in the family in June. Yeah…June Bug will be here before you know it. And this bug is a girl… Oh Dear…You two will be outnumbered by us girls. I sure can’t wait to see you both and I wish Bed Bug would be in town too.

Love, Holly (I ain’t no bug) Coriana

Another pic of Bed Bug

An unexpected visitor showed up today

“Hi Stink Bug, hows’ it going.

“Hey Hunt-N-Bug, did you come to play at Gramma’s today?” Did you know Gramma went up to visit Bed bug last weekend?

A bed bug

I found this bed bug watching TV on the bed in the guest room when we were visiting. Seems like she adores American Idol. I see her with the TV controller and I think she is using it as a microphone. I think the family has a star on their hands. Of course, her mommy always loved to “star” in the family videos when she was a little girl, especially at the age of 5 to 10.

And in this picture above, her profile really looks like her mommy.

If all bed bugs were this cute I wouldn’t mind them on my bed.

And here is a tender touching moment between grandmother and granddaughter. The light from the window created a glow between them.

I LIKE TO HELP GRAMMA GARDEN

And sometimes she lets me help her pull the weeds.

Do you need help? I could come there and help you.

My father’s self portrait when he was in his 70’s

He took a pic of himself and then painted this by looking at the photo. I had come across the actual photo after he died.

CAYDEN TUESDAY

Stayed at home because he was not feeling well, possibly teething. Entertained him with bubbles and naps.

He’s finished in this one

Decided to photoshop him in red and oranges. I like him in these colors.

A sketch and then photoshop

I sketched a portrait from a photo that I had posted yesterday and then photoshopped some enhancements. The original was done in graphite (pencil). I was going to do a colored pencil portrait but I’m finding lately that I like the effects of photoshopping a graphite sketch.

Dora the Duck

Dora has an odd face, very odd I think.
But her attitude seems friendly even though her face is pink.
She simply likes to lie there and sun herself all day
But as for me, I’d rather hike and spend the day at play.

Photos into drawings

I like the effects you can get with some of the photo programs

Arroyo Grande’s Roosters

Chickens and roosters just walk the streets and they gather in gangs. The cats are even afraid of them.

Scenes on the way home

I was shooting out the window of the car but they turned out pretty good. The camera, as inexpensive as it is, took some good fast moving shots.

Images from today 4/23

We had Cayden for the day so took him out to the park and then ran some errands.

Tomorrow is Cayden Tuesday so thought I better get these on the blog before I get too many images after he comes over tomorrow.

Still have some more pics to put up from our trip to see Hannah.
